“We met our tour guide Nita at the Garden District Bookshop. From there, she took us to the cemetery and explained the reasons for the tombs and meanings behind certain images and everything! We then went around the district looking at notable homes. She explained the very different architectural styles between the Garden District and French Quarter, even though they were built at nearly the same time and was well versed in New Orleans history. She was very passionate about the city and it was delightful to learn some of the history of the city from her!”
