Garden district tour
“We did a garden District tour, which started at the Lafayette Cemetery and then walked through the neighborhood with all the fancy homes. The walking tour also points out some of the famous homes in the Garden District, including those of author Anne Rice, the Manning family (of football fame), Nicolas Cage, John Goodman (the same house was formerly owned by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails), Sandra Bullock, and the house where “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” was filmed. The guide was knowledgeable and informative. The tour takes about 2 hours, and it’s pretty easy walking. We probably only covered a mile or two in that time, so it’s slow-paced, all on the sidewalks, and no hills.”
