Informative Tour Guide for Garden District
“We selected this tour for the Garden District walking tour. The last time we did it, we recalled having to meet the guide at the cemetery, so we got mixed up. The website implies one should reserve and pay in advance, but on both occasions, we simply met the guide at the designated spot and paid them right before the tour began. The Garden District tour meets at The Rink. It is a full two hours and a lot of walking. The nice thing about meeting at the Rink is that there are public bathrooms there. The first time I visited New Orleans, I tried just walking around the Garden District on my own, but I got little out of it, since I had no idea about any of the homes. The guide will point out the historic homes to you and a few of the celebrity homes as well. I definitely would recommend this tour company. The guides are well trained and very informative.”
