Informative at a Casual Pace

“I recently signed up for the French Quarter Walking Tour through Tourneworleans.org. Originally I called to book a spot and was told to just show up 15-20 minutes before the tour to get a ticket. Not trusting that there would be space due to Tulane and LSU graduation taking place that same weekend I then proceeded to book tickets online, the only other way to secure a ticket. It was very simple and there are many other tours available, not just the French Quarter Tour for a reasonable price of $25.As scheduled the tour left on time with about 10 people in the group. Our guide was extremely knowledgable about New Orleans history as many generations of her family had been born and raised in the city. The tour moved at a very reasonable pace. We didn’t linger too long in any one spot, but never felt rushed along either. We were given access to the observation deck at the Omni Hotel, typically reserved for guests only. It was exciting to see the city from one of the highest points in the city. It was a very warm day and throughout the tour we had a few pit stops that took us indoors for a few minutes to cool off. I would definitely recommend this tour for someone interested in learning a bit about the city. It’s two hours long…the perfect amount of time to spend walking around the city, and then it’s time to eat. AGAIN.”
