“I second (third?) the recommendation of Dave for your tour guide. We had been to NOLA maybe a dozen times before and always avoided taking a tour (trying to be non-touristy), and in the end we regretted not doing it years earlier after taking our trip through the Quarter with Dave. He taught us tons of stuff we didn’t know. Also, as a NOLA native who was exiled for a long time post-Katrina, his passion for the city’s greatness — along with his not-sugarcoated opinions of its downsides — shined through. I’m not sure how the company’s other tour guides compare, but I do know you can’t go wrong with him.”
